his session was a fantastic endeavor by ADRIC, and the fact it was free was even better. I truly think that another whole series could be offered on the topic in a few months time.

Themes: building awareness, reflection, diversity beyond colours, understanding our humanity, visual and invisible diversity and discrimination, reflection is good - action is needed, what are the ways, need more session with a balance of giving info, sharing and providing resources, think about who is in the sessions and are we missing some of us, how to attract them to our sessions

moving forward, learning to speak up and taking the consequences; powerlessness v. moving forward, orgs. not following through on their diversity policies; bringing understanding to the larger group, appreciating harm v. our own privilege

We need to intentionally incorporate Indigenous knowledge seamlessly with Settler practice. if we are thinking of reconciliation, we cannot spit this up by creating an Indigenous stream. Its not about recruiting Indigenous and minority people as mediators.
