Join us on March 3, 2021 from 3:00-5:00pm for a virtual 2-part event to hear more about the exciting programming and initiatives underway with Tourism Vancouver Island and connect with student talent.

Over the past year, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a dramatic impact on Vancouver Island's tourism industry. As tourism operators, organizations, First Nations and governments fight to ensure the industry's recovery, it is becoming more clear that the pandemic will leave lasting changes that will impact tourism's future.

In part 1, join Calum Matthews, Director of Destination Development at Tourism Vancouver Island at 3:00pm as he shares new research on the pandemic's impact, highlights ongoing efforts to ensure the industry's recovery and discusses the future of tourism on Vancouver Island. You will then be invited to participate in an open, Q & A discussion while also having the opportunity to share your industry experience.

In part 2, we will coordinate virtual networking sessions providing you the opportunity to showcase your organization, share your industry experience and meet some student talent so that we can start to get ready together for whatever this next summer season will look like.
